I wanted to let you know/remind you that Tangamente will be performing at the upcoming Summer Night of Lotus, July 9, at 7pm, at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater (doors open at 6:15pm). We are part of a wonderful concert which theme is "Music & Spirit without Borders", an incredibly relevant topic in the present. We will share the concert with Carrie Newcomer and the great Amjad Ali Khan, world-renowned and acclaimed Indian sarod master.

As you know, my approach with Tangamente is somewhat different than other tango groups...I try to integrate, to the best of my possibilities and resources, all the components that make tango what it is...and perhaps one of the most dear to me, usually overlooked worldwide, comes form the tradition of the "tango-canción", the tango that is sang...with it's powerful poetry, each one of these tangos is a three-minute philosophical pearl. And we will perform some gorgeous sang tangos this night!


So, please, come experience this incredible evening...get your tickets as soon as you can as this night will probably draw a huge crowd to the Buskirk-Chumley.
